‘Mystery Of GOAL-The Seemingly Simple 4 Letters’

GOAL,a word that is very precise ,very specific in meaning(although only for few who understand its real meaning) is the basic thing determining our lives ,our personalities and so on. Ironically, a thing ,which so elegantly determines the flow of our lives is unfamiliar to us?
Reading Eliyahu Goldratt’s ‘ The Goal’ , made me conclude that the Goal of a business is to make money or Cash flow.If we are increasing the Cash Flow ,we are moving towards the Goal of business. Money controls the whole business. The Ultimate concern of any business is Money. If at any time, value of money conflicts with some other value, then value of money wins.Money is ‘GOD’ for a business.
I guess if we ever recognize our true goal, then that serves as God for us.All decisions need to be made based on that only. Thus,Goal governs our lives totally.
I have seen some people who want to achieve their Goals of success, getting rich ,having security and so many things in order to be happy.Yet,they don’t achieve happiness not because they have not achieved their goals but because they choose the wrong goals.
This is all about ‘Confusing Means with Ends’.Actually(in this case), Ultimate Goal is Happiness; not getting rich or success or anything .They just need to serve as the means to attain the Ultimate Goal of Happiness .Happiness should govern the whole flow, not the other way around.
So far,I have assumed that we have one ultimate Goal. But, often we are so disorganized in ourselves that we have too many ‘GOALS’ or ‘GODS’ governing our lives. We have internal battles going on between our desires of love, friendship, making money and so on(actually list is endless) .We just carry on our lives with being ignorant of our most desired value, the value which should govern each and every action of ours.
Has anybody (or can anybody) ever be acquainted with the ‘GOD’ for himself?????
…………………………………………………………………………………………………….To be Continued till I get the answer or anybody among you comes across that.

Nice article...
A child in school is told to write a essay on 'Aim in life'. He writes about all the materialistic things, and as an adult when one gets all,one starts seeking for more meaningful things. So, I think goal is a journey to a better life/society.
It's good to see you exploring yourself so much.
Keep it up, and sure you are on the right track..Always keep doing your best!!!

you are very comprehendibale n simple in your writing for sure. i liked they way you incarnated 'GOD' to 'GOALS', but i differ to you when you say we are disorganised when we have many goals. i think to be organised at times we need to have more than one goal. so wot i think is comparing god to goal at this particular instance is not appropriate. wotsay! neways keep itup buddy

oye hoye markande well said and very well written.
seriously speaking i also believe in that happiness thing.infact during my pdc classes in cognizant i gave presentations on topic which supports this view.

ya happiness is the thing which is most important.money is nothing.this can be proved wen we c the difference between a rich being sad and a poor being happy and enjoying life.
if we dont generalise and for example we look around pur environment u can see from our college mate many persons who r having a good salary are not much happy as some others who r having less salary(including me).
so the bottomline is to enjoy life as i believe in

'Life can give you hundred reasons to cry,But you can give life thousand reasons to smile'.
Choice is entirely on you.

very well written munish. you have correctly assumed that we have one ultimate goal. but you are saying that we disorganize our goals and forget that ultimate goal. Don't you think that it entirely depends upon the definition of happiness for a person. There is no single factor on which this happiness depends but you can't blame one factor for the damage done to happiness by other factors. to make it clear i would like to pick Manoj's comment that people with more salary are less happy and all that stuff. You tell me one thing, is it money that is making those people less happy? The answer is "NO". So basically what i think is that whatever you do without being forced to do is for your happiness, otherwise why would you do it.

It’s great to see your enthusiasm about writing. Really, it's inspiring me too...
Very well said "Happiness is the ultimate goal of life" which everyone realizes sooner or later in life..
Here, I can say just one thing, GOD has different meaning to different people, so Goal may be God for some but not for all.....
